This listing is for Spiral Wound Gaskets otherwise know as semi-metallic gaskets which are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.20.

More specifically this style consist of Carbon Steel centreing (Outer) ring, 316/Graphite windings and 316 inner ring.
 
Multiple plies of metal and filler in the spiral create a barrier that reduces the possibility of leaks.
