Natural Birch Log Slice
These log slices are being sold as 'NEW OTHER', this is because in all cases there is either only patches of bark around the edge or no bark at all as the photos show. They might be discoloured with markings. They may be slightly warped and not sit completely flat on a surface and have cracks or fillers and nails on the slice or around the edge. They might also be various shapes and have the sides cut off, please see the photographs. The log slice that will be picked will be anywhere between the specified size. I'm afraid we cannot be more specific and pick required sizes. The price is for one log slice.
These oval shaped log slices make the perfect rustic centerpiece for vintage, shabby chic or woodland themed weddings.
Cut from birch trees, they come as natural finish, so not sanded or smooth.
The pretty silver birch bark is visible around the edge and may be slightly peeling in places as the tree would do so naturally so please don't consider this to be a fault. It can however be stuck down with wood glue if you prefer.
As these are a natural product, there may be some splitting, cracking or general deterioration of the wood over time. For best results, they should be stored individually in a dry place and placed on their sides to ensure air flow.
