The book is edited by the then Chief Education Officer who drew up and implemented the Leicestershire Plan which tackled the issues of bringing comprehensive education to a largely rural county through a system of first, middle and high schools.

The book is in very good condition.  The dustjacket has not been price clipped and apart from some sun lightening to the spine is undamaged. Two corners are bumped.  The covers and spine of the book are clean and undamaged and the binding is firm.  The book is signed by the author with a dedication on the front end page.
