The Vortex Optics 8.5 x 32 Raptor Binocular provides a pronounced 8.5 x magnification combined with a relatively wide 7.4° field of view in a waterproof and fog-proof housing. Because of its porro prism design, it presents a particularly three-dimensional image thanks to the distance of the objectives being wider than the distance between your eyes. This unit's very short 50mm minimum interpupillary distance means it is great for children and adolescents, who often have difficulty achieving a singular circular image from a normal binocular with a longer minimum interpupillary distance.
