These rugs are often made with dyed rags. The dye content may vary greatly. For this reason we cannot guarantee that they are colourfast so please check about where you want to put it. Dampened surface or environment and light coloured or expensive surfaces need particular caution.
Colours may also fade over time especially if subject to direct sunlight or washing. People do wash rag rugs separately in cold water but please note that we cannot claim that the rugs are washable since some are not colourfast - they are so varied in colours and production methods it is hard to dish up standard advice! Best that you treat them with caution and common sense.
