I have found this a Great New Alternative replacement for Antique 28"x1" Tubular Tires used on Antique Wood Wheel Racing Bikes. This will help you get your Antique Wood Wheel Racer Back on the Road. Note: This Tubular Tire looks great on the Round 1" wide Wood Street Racing Rims, also good on V Profile Wood Rims. Although Some of our references are for use with Antique Wood Wheel Racing Bicycles this tire is also a Superbly Tech New tire for Road Bike use. This Tubular Tire takes 55-100 psi, is One Star compound, has a 32mm Presta valve with removable valve core, has a 107 epi carcass, and weigh about 360 g. The tires have the One Star Triple Compound, built to achieve extremely low rolling resistance. The new triple compound is based on special polymers that have only recently become available. As a result Schwalbe has achieved a great improvement in the familiar trade-off between rolling resistance, wet grip and durability. The One Star Triple Compound is not only faster; it also delivers the usual good grip and is more cut resistant than previous compounds. This also makes the tire significantly more puncture resistant. Tire Size is 700 x 30c or 28" x 1.20" and Importantly ETRTO 30-622 (European Tire and Rim Technical Organization -Standards organization for tire and rim sizes.) The ISO or Bead Seat Diameter (BSD) 622mm number is the important rim size here which also denotes a 700c rim.
