Furse Surge Protector for Telephone Line

This is a brand new, very high quality ESP TN/JP lightning surge protector, by Furse, United Kingdom.

Unlike cheap 'power board' type protectors, these are built to a high standard, and will protect far better than the cheap plug in ones, which frequently don't do much of anything! (This is provided they're installed correctly according to the instructions). The earth terminal size gives a general idea of the quality. These sell for USD170 in the market. The protector has a 3 way line cord, protecting all 3 leads from the phone socket. There is a substantial earthing stud that MUST be connected to electrical earth (this is detailed in the enclosed instructions). This unit has been tested with an industry standard 8/20¦Ìs waveshape to ITU (formely CCITT), BS 6651:1999 Appendix C.

This is brand new, in its box, with detailed instructions as seen in the photo. As you can see from the internal photo, there is protection on all 3 leads, including a series resistor (to limit surge current), varistors, diode protection, gas discharge tubes, and the whole thing is built on a high quality fibreglass board, in the UK. The start price represents a real bargain!
