Sam Morse-Brown 1903 -2001 listed prominent British painter having first trained
at the West of England College of Art later the Royal West of England Academy,
became a leading high society portrait painter.
He was also a resident of Bermuda and a long-time member of the Bermuda Society
of Arts also having served as its President. Sam Morse-Brown painted some prominent people including General Bernard Montgomery,
King Umberto of Italy, the Lord Mayor of London Sir John Laurie,
the Italian surrealist painter Georgio Chirico,
as well as being the first artist to paint Prince Philip,
Sam Morse-Brown always painted portraits from life.
