Quote from British Vogue, August 14, 2012 by Ella Alexander:

ORLA KIELY has created a second high street collection for Uniqlo, following her hugely successful debut for the chain in March--which sold out entirely in less than four hours. While the designer's first offering focused on T-shirts, her next autumn/winter 2012-13 range features a much larger product offering - including dresses, shirts, hoodies and scarves.

"After such a successful collection for spring/summer 2012, I was really happy to do another collection with Uniqlo," Kiely told us. "I really admire their philosophy and classic style, but also their attention to good quality materials. The price is great and it definitely feels like the less- is-more approach to styling, which is very modern. I love the Japanese aesthetic and so it has been great collaborating with such a popular and cool brand."

Kiely will launch the collection during Vogue's Fashion's Night Out on September 6, when she will make an appearance at Uniqlo's 311 Oxford Street store. Customers will also be treated to a complimentary limited edition tote bag when they purchase two products. "I was excited about doing a collection for autumn/winter 2012-13 this time, as I wanted it to feel very different to the last season," she explained. "We were really keen to introduce some new shapes that had a Sixties vibe, yet were still in keeping with the Uniqlo aesthetic. I think they look great."
