The Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois started making iron toys in 1885. The doll house furniture was made from 1925 to 1936, most of it in a larger 1 1/4"=1' scale but also in 1" and 3/4" scale. 

This bathroom set is made of cast iron and enameled in medium GREEN and is the larger size. The complete set includes the tub, lavatory, toilet, shower stall base and stool. The tub measures 6" long, 3" wide and 1 3/4" tall. The sink is 3 1/2" tall.These dimensions are approximate and more exact, and other, measurements will be gladly provided. Shown in the last picture with 1" scale bathroom pieces for size comparison. 

The company's slogan for the furniture was; "Looks Like Real" and the cute details make this so. The knobs on the sink actually turn and the drain plug even goes up and down. Both the seat and the lid on the toilet open on a pinned hinge. 

Although the quality of this furniture is very nice it, like most of the metal furniture made at the time, more often than not suffers from paint loss. This set is relatively nice with less chipping that is commonly found. Please use the photos as further illustration of condition and more will be provided on request. No other damage. 

All pieces retain the original sticker reading: "An Arcade Toy", the tub and shower are embossed with the company name and address and all but the stool are stamped "Crane".
