Rare Vintage Set of Beseler Topcon Camera Sterling Silver and Pearl Cufflinks. 
These vintage sterling cufflinks are a rare find in photography memorabilia.  They feature beautiful, salt water pearls measuring 6.75 mm in diameter.  Likely Japanese Akoya pearls, they are round and nicely matched.  They have a beautiful luster from many years in the salt water prior to harvest with only a few small, natural blemishes.  The fronts of the cufflinks measure 11/16 inch x 5/8 inch and they are about 3/4 inch long, not including the large, round pearls (see picture with penny as reference to size).  Total weight is 16.9 grams.  These mid century cufflinks are signed prominently on the fronts BESELER TOPCON in raised relief and signed STERLING on the back of each cufflink.  Some fine surface scratches to sterling with a bit of tarnish.  T-Bars hold securely.  A rare find for the camera/photography buff or cufflink collector in your life!  Visit my Store for more vintage jewelry with combined shipping and expedited services available.

Note:  The early Topcon camera was manufactured by the Japanese optical manufacturer, Tokyo OPtical COmpany. In the 1960s, they became involved with U.S. importer, the Charles Beseler Company who began importing the Beseler Topcon 35mm camera into the United States. Topcon ceased production of cameras in 1981.  As these are fine Akoya pearls, this rare set was likely a gift from the Tokyo division to a higher-up in the American division.  Research shows nothing similar to this handsome set.  Impressive, one of a kind pair of advertising cufflinks!
