The BLX Blade utilizes Wilson's new BLX technology which incorporates fibers of basalt, a natural volcanic rock, longitudinally into the Karophite Black. According to Wilson, the result is a significant reduction in vibrations in the racquet.
The BLX Blade is a swing friendly 65 on my Babolat RDC which should provide control but is stiff enough to get some serious pop on your serve. I would recommend this racket for players with medium/fast swing speeds who want a lot of feel and control in a solid frame.
Recommended string tension is 53 to 63 lbs on this 18X20 string pattern where I recommend going down 2 lbs in the cross strings to equalize string pressure throughout the frame.
