Streamlined canoe stabilizers help keep you right side up!  Low drag.  Quality American craftsmanship on these pontoons!   One year warranty on parts and labor.   (Kayaks too!  See bottom.)   Now with the option to have more convenient, more secure SQUARE POSTS for the vertical connection between the pontoons and the telescoping horizontal arms.  Please browse through all 12 pictures and read below.

Price is for two pontoons, two telescoping arms, one crossbar and all necessary mounting hardware -- a complete 2-pontoon system, in other words.

Round Post or Square:   Step up to the square-post design for the latest in convenience.  We've sold the round-post design for almost 20 years and people love them, especially since the introduction of the level-lock clamp for the round post.   But now here comes the latest improvement:   Square posts that automatically, firmly and permanently aim your floats parallel and straight ahead.
  • Square posts adjust up and down with a simple one-handed wrist-twist on a knob to lock and unlock the up-down adjustment.   Floats can't turn -- they are always parallel and pointed straight ahead because they are mounted on square posts that slide in square holes!!!
  • The lever lock on the round post does hold the floats quite firmly, but it takes two hands to close it, and you have to take care to re-aim the floats each time you adjust them up and down.
The square post system is exclusive to Sailboats To Go.  The pontoons are from Spring Creek but the rest of the system is our own product.

Canoes:  Easy clamp-on design.  No tools needed.   No modification to your canoe.  Clamps included.

Please watch the prices:  As you make selections to configure your stabilizer order, the price may change because of your selections.

Fully adjustable:   Floats adjust up and down, with clamp mechanism.  Adjust in and out with spring button mechanism.   Clamps for attaching to canoe slide along stabilizer crossbar to align with canoe gunwales.

Best materials:   Anodized aluminum, with stainless steel hardware, and roto-molded floats (same material and process as modern kayaks).

Best engineering and design:  The in/out adjustment slides silky smooth and snaps securely into fixed positions. The up-down adjustment on the round-post version uses an over-center lever lock, like the lock on the best quality bicycle axles.  The up-down adjustment on the square post model is a simple one-knob clamp that holds the post effortlessly and securely.  The vertical posts (either round or square) are held in the pontoons with stainless-steel slip pins and the posts go right into a center hole molded into each float for greatest strength.  Pull the pins, slip the posts out, and lay them horizontally into storage grooves molded into the tops of the floats for compact and convenient storage. Again, this is true for either round or square posts. Every detail has been thought through and executed with the best materials and good old American workmanship.  You're going to be proud to own this product, and we are proud to sell it!

Use the Drop-Down Boxes Next To The "Buy Now" Button To Choose Color, Square or Round Post,  and Size.  Note that changes affect price, so watch the price as you make selections.  The default price is the lowest price.

Choose "Canoe" (or choose "kayak" but only after reading the kayak paragraph farther down).  Note that the kayak option is a little more expensive than the canoe option and mounts differently.  Change the "canoe or kayak" box to "kayak" and select various colors and a crossbar length to see the price difference.

Choose color:  Red, Gray, or Yellow.   No mango -- sorry.

Choose crossbar length:   The 45 inch will fit any canoe, because it is sure to be long enough to span the width and the gunwale clamps slide along the crossbar to align with your canoe gunwales. If you want a trimmer fit on a narrower  canoe, select the 40-inch or the 36-inch size. (Note: "45" means "45 to 46" -- we have both and use them interchangeably).   For most canoes, crossbar does not need to be longer than the width of the canoe (though no problem if it is).    Exceptions: For Coleman and Pelican, you need at least 2 inches of crossbar overhang on each side, because these canoe brands put the gunwale lip on the outside and therefore a little overhang is need so you can put the gunwale clamps on the outside.    The telescoping arms that hold the pontoons slide out almost 2 feet beyond the ends of the crossbar, so your total span between floats is about 7 feet or more (almost 4 feet plus the length of the crossbar you choose).  The leverage of that wide stance multiplies the buoyancy of the floats to result in tremendous stability.  What's a "gunwale lip?"  It's that little sticky-outy ledge along the edge of the canoe.  It's there so you can clamp stuff on, like stabilizers or a motor mount.   See closeup picture of gunwale clamp on canoe.  On most canoes it is on the inside.  But on a few canoe brands, the lip is on the outside and with those you need at least 2 inches of crossbar overhang on each side.  No price difference based on crossbar length.

About the Seller  SailboatsToGo is dedicated to customer satisfaction.  Call co-owner Jim Luckett with any questions or issues (617 645 1605 - 9 AM to 9 PM East Coast time, 7 days) or use Ebay messages to write to him.   We are very proud of our stellar Ebay feedback rating and the rave reviews on this product.Accepts Accessories:   We also sell many accessories that use the same crossbar and gunwale clamps, so this stabilizer can be the heart of a canoe accessory system.   We have slip-on wheels, for example.   Or a snap-in leeboard (a fin in the water to help with tracking and steering).   Or snap-in rowing outriggers.   Or a sail kit!

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and US Possessions Is Extra.  Probably $55 extra.  Contact me with your full address..

Special Note for Mad River Adventure:  We supply a different gunwale clamp for the Mad River Adventure because of its unique design.  So, please send us a message to alert us if you have this canoe, right after you order.  All other Mad River canoes and other brands of canoe use standard clamps.

Special Note for Radisson and Sports Pal:   Request 2-hole plates for your gunwale clamps so you can turn the u-bolts upside down and have the star-knobs that tighten the clamps be on top.  Not essential, but we know these brands have gunwale lips that do not stick out much, putting the star knobs very close to the sides of the canoe if they are underneath, and that makes them hard to turn.

Kayaks Too:  For kayaks, all the above applies equally except (1) initial installation will require simple tools and 4 small (1/4") holes to be drilledl into your kayak.  After that, it's easy-on, easy-off no-tool installation and removal.  The kayak version works with two small, very low-profile U-brackets you bolt or rivet to your kayak deck (brackets & hardware included).  Included legs attach to these bracket by means of a slide-in/slide-out pin on each one.  The crossbar of the stabilizer clamps into these legs without use of tools.    You mount the kayak stabilizer far enough from the paddler (far forward or far behind) so that it does not interfere with the paddle stroke, of course.  The price is just a bit higher than the canoe version.  In the drop-down boxes near the "Buy Now" button, choose "kayak" under "canoe or kayak,"  choose crossbar length (36" or 30" -- doesn't matter, just your personal preference), and color (red, yellow,  gray - no more mango).   There is one kayak picture above, with 2 views in one frame.  Browse through the  pictures until you find it, please.
