This lovely Art Deco set was made between 1930 and 1937 at the Cambridge Glass Company, Cambridge Ohio, to manufacture and distribute this extremely popular line. The line, which was referred to as #3400 Amber in the "Tally Ho" pattern was made in 6 different colors....Cobalt Blue, Ruby Red, Clear, Amethyst, Green and Amber. The decanter and glasses are in the amber color. This decanter is the 32 ounce size and each of the glasses is 2 & 1/4 inches tall. All pieces are in excellent original condition.

Thought to have been originally for the serving of "Absinthe" a type of powerful libation, liquor, supposedly many brands were 138 Proof, so very little was need for a "buzz" so to speak, also supposedly it was used in several men's & women's groups  and was believed to induce mild hallucinations of a sot!?  

Great little set, perfect for Tequila, Liqueurs, etc..

Also the Amber Set w/tray, decanter w/excellent stopper, all 4 glass's is the rarest & nicest, as this set came in several colors, still a whole real excellent set is unusual!
