Please read the listing in full, note the shipping costs, and examine all photos before bidding. Thanks, Fitscribe

Up for grabs are these truly awesome Assos Airblock 851 LL bib tights.

These are made from Airblock 851 material, a thicker, warmer fabric than regular Assos bib tights and shorts. If you ride in cold conditions, these are about as good as it gets when it comes to keeping out the cold and wet. The yellow colour also keeps you nice and visible - if any motorist claims he/she didn't see you while you were wearing these, they should be declared legally blind.

Being top-of-the-line Assos kit, these are Swiss-made (not made in Eastern Europe etc).

Please note these are the unpadded version. These are meant to be worn over your favourite knicks, the tights last longer that way - cheaper to churn through knicks than Assos tights! I paired these up with a Sugoi S.100 liner, which is listed in my other items, along with some Castelli and Pearl Izumi Elite knicks.

Marked size is L. To give an idea of sizing, these fit me nicely, and I also take L in Sugoi, Cannibal, Ventou and BBB bib shorts, XL in Santini bib tights, and XXL in Morvelo and Castelli bibshorts.

Assos recommends L for someone 180 - 185 cm in height. I'm actually 178 cm, but a little thicker in build than most mountain goat roadies - my thigh circumference is 60 cm, hip-butt circumference is 96 cm, waist is 81 cm.

The bib tights are in great condition overall. Some very light rubbing on the underside of the tights in the usual spot in the crotch area. The only issue with these is purely cosmetic - soon after I got these I went for a ride on wet roads, and made the unwise decision to soak them when I got home. I then proceeded to forget them and by the time I remembered what I'd done the colours had run. Please examine the last couple of photos, so you can get an idea of the discoloration. Because it's uniform it doesn't look too bad, in fact a couple of girls thought they were meant to look like that until I explained what happened. They thought it was some kind of trendy wash effect :)

Otherwise, they are in terrific shape and should have many more miles left in them. Only selling as I'm slowly unloading much of my road gear, as I mostly ride off-road nowadays. Be sure to check my other items as I also have some blue-black Assos bib tights for sale as well.

This is a great opportunity to score some top shelf Assos winter kit for a song. RRP was £199.99, which at current exchange rates is equal to AU $343.00.

Please note: All sizing information provided in good faith, to try and help potential buyers get best possible idea of fit. Sizing is subjective and optimal fit varies from person to person. I do not in any way claim or guarantee this item will fit you. By placing a bid you acknowledge that this is eBay and not a try-before-you-buy retail shop, and that I do not refund for sizing issues. Please read the listing in full and examine all photos carefully, all items sold as is.

About the Assos brand

Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling clothing, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle. During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fibre bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time. To this day Assos firmly believe in total product competence, delivering optimum function and comfort, by researching and making its cycling clothing and accessories from the very best materials.

Be sure to check my other items, I have more high end cycling gear up for grabs, including another pair of Assos bib tights and some Specialized S-Works shoes in size 45. I am always happy to combine shipping to save you money.

Will post anywhere in Australia and to the stipulated overseas destinations ASAP after payment is received.

Sorry, no local pick-up (due to my hectic schedule, organizing and waiting around for pick-ups is just not feasible).

Please read before bidding

--All items sold as is.
Please examine all photos carefully and read listing description in its entirety.

--Payment must be made within 2 days. Please do not write to me after the auction telling me you can't make payment until your next pay slip comes through in two week's time. If you can't pay within 2 days, then please don't bid.

--Please do not bid until you have read the description in its entirety and viewed all photos.

--Please do not bid unless you are 100% certain you want the item. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay and will receive an unpaid item strike.

--Ask all questions before bidding, and please do not bid until you get a response.
Entering the winning bid means you have entered a legally binding contract to purchase the item, so the time to be asking questions about sizing, shipping, etc is before an auction ends, not after. Please note I have many other interests and commitments aside from staring at a computer screen and therefore do not pay homage to my computer 24/7. As such, I may not always be able to answer questions sent shortly before the auction ends. Please send any queries well before auction ends, and if you do not get a response before auction ends then please do not bid.

--Please use correct form of payment. Payment for items to posted internationally must be via Paypal. Payment for items posted within Australia must be via bank deposit or Paypal. No cheques under any circumstances.

--If you pay by Paypal, I can only ship to the address shown on the payment notification email I receive from Paypal. Please ensure your correct shipping address is showing in the Paypal information before you send me the payment. I cannot and will not send to any other address.

--Please do not ask me to under-declare the value of the item on the customs forms, or falsely mark the item as a  gift. Knowingly making such a false or misleading declaration is a Commonwealth offense (Sections 137.1 and 137.2 of the Criminal Code 1995) SO DON'T ASK ME TO DO IT. Not to mention I'd look rather stupid declaring a value of $50 and then requesting $200 insurance. Please check your country's customs duty policies, if they make an item prohibitively expensive then do not bid on that item.

--Shipping charges are clearly stated in the listing and are not negotiable. Please do not write to me complaining about shipping charges. If the shipping charges are disagreeable to you, then please do not bid. If you bid you are agreeing to the clearly displayed shipping charges - do not bid and then attempt to "negotiate" or complain about the shipping charges after the auction ends, this is very poor form. All displayed shipping rates are derived by using Australia Post's online calculator, and factor in the cost of postage, registration/insurance, and packaging materials.

Postage rates for anything mailed in or from Australia are determined by Australia's only mail carrier, Australia Post. I do not, and never have, worked for Australia Post. As such, I have absolutely no influence over the postage rates charged by Australia Post. Therefore, writing to me to me to complain about their shipping rates is a complete waste of time. If you find their rates disagreeable, feel free to lodge a complaint with them. Contact information is available at their website.

Please keep in mind when leaving feedback regarding shipping that the Australia Post label you see on the package does not include cost of registration, insurance, or packaging materials.

--Combined shipping charges for multiple purchases will be calculated based on the weight and volume of the purchased goods. Australia Post international rates increase incrementally with weight, while domestic rates increase incrementally with weight and package size. Combined shipping, therefore, does not mean I can post 5 kilograms of mixed items for the same rate as a 200 gram t-shirt.

--You are bidding only on what is shown in the photos and described in the listing. For example, if the listing is for a pair of Giro bike shoes, and the listing text describes only a pair of Giro bike shoes, and the photos show only a pair of Giro bike shoes, then that is exactly what is up for offer: A pair of Giro bike shoes. Unless explicitly mentioned in the listing, the sale does not include a Giro shoe bag, Giro box, Giro socks, Giro T-shirt, Giro boxer shorts, Giro keyring, complimentary dinner with the Giro promo girls, nor a free Ferrari in the colour of your choice (seriously, you'd be amazed at some of the stuff people imagine they're entitled to and then write to complain they never received).

--No refunds for sizing issues. I describe the sizing of footwear and garments as accurately as possible. The manufacturer's marked sizing is always listed (except on the odd occasion it is missing) and my listings will often include actual dimensions, manufacturer's sizing recommendations, official Australian equivalents of international shoe sizes (these can be found at http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html ). Despite all this, it cannot be guaranteed that any item will fit you. Due to the very competitive prices that my items usually sell for and the lack of any margin on shipping, I cannot afford to offer refunds/returns for sizing issues. By placing a bid on my items, you understand there is a chance the item may not be the right size for you and that I do not refund for wrong sizing. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not bid.

Good luck bidding!
