COMPANY INFO
J. M BUCHEIMER Co, one of the older names in the holster and leather goods industry, started business back in 1884. They originally dealt in the equestrian market, and made one mean bullwhip.
They were one of the earliest "mass" producers, and in regards to leather holsters and other products, they put out quality goods that saw the nation thru 2 World Wars. They held military contracts and were sought after for police equipment as well. A family owned business, it looks like they began to run into trouble in the late 1960s and it appears that the company went thru a merger with CLARK holsters for a time and I even see some 1970's associations with TANDY CORP.
This plays H*ll trying to make heads or tails of their catalog reference numbers, which seem to change almost every other year. About 1990 or so, it looks like Bucheimer could not keep up with the big three holster makers that had emerged and they ceased business. Their vintage items are classics in design and cut from thick quality leather.

This is for a used, vintage BUCHEIMER/CLARK Dark Brown LEATHER, quality gun holster.
Made from full grain steer hide, this holster is a DETECTIVE Model 37A BELT LOOP STYLE, made when they were teamed up with the Clark Company in Los Angeles, CA
THIS IS A RIGHT HANDED HOLSTER
VERY HAED to FINBD, and almost never seen in this application, it is classic concealment holster, long out of production, this well made, all leather, holster is wet molded and double stitched in the stress areas. It features a fully welted seam; lock stitched. The seam is then is slicked and coated to protect your clothing and for a professional finish.
THIS MODEL FEATURES A SPARE MAGAZINE CASE INCORPORATED INTO THE RIG!
A rare factory added option.
The trigger guard is open and you have quick access to the grips and handgun on the draw. A sewn down loop fits your belt up to 1 7/8" wide, has butt forward combat carry, high and tight for maximum concealment..
Your gun is secured with an over the top strap and outside chromed snap.

Bucheimer stopped making these about 45 years ago.
My vintage catalog states this was originally intended as a true application and a rarer fit for the standard barreled
