Autographed fold-over program for a recital by the French pianist, Montevideo, 1947.

Loyonett (1889-1988) studied was the musical grandson of Chopin, Thalberg and Liszt, studying with Isidor Philipp, Charles de Beriot and Marius Sieveking.  His Parisian concert career began in 1906 and he played over 1000 concerts and recitals between 1918 and 1932 in Europe.  He retired to North Africa in 1932 and did not re-emerge until after the War in 1946. He then set out to re-introduce himself around the World with a recital tour, this concert being one of those recitals.  He did not tour again until 1953, where he decided to settle in Montreal Canada.  His best pupils included Gisele Daoust, Albert Dessane, Pierre Jasmin, Jean Leduc, Alain Lefevre and Boris Roubakine.

A rare pianist autograph!
