However, grid tied AC inverters are available that can convert wind energy directly to the grid without batteries simply plugging into a standard wall outlet! Net metering for little cost. You can add multiple wind turbines for increased performance to battery-based systems. We have systems running 8 turbines into one battery bank. You can also add solar panels to the same battery bank to have a true wind and solar hybrid system. If you choose a grid tied inverter option, EACH turbine requires a separate grid tied inverter. You cannot tie multiple turbines to one grid tied inverter.
