Thanks for your excellent service and product. Regards,   Jim "

below is a Q & A from customer Robert who wanted to know a few things about prepping his shell for our kit:

Q:
So first question is what do you use to clean these up?

~~i use a good citrus based cleaner ( orange cleaner) and then windex , since the orange i leaves a little oil residue. i like to take on old paint brush and get under the treadle when the orange cleaner is soaked in and also blow out the dust with a compressor after loosening it with paint brush.
get all the old grease off the rack gear with a toothbrush and tissue.
a vigorous brushing with a stiff nylon brush can get the rubber treadle clean, if it is off the wah i use ajax cleanser with bleach at the sink. you could carefully use this method while it's on the wah if you want. a lot of careful rinsing tho, might not be worth it.

Also there seems to be a problem, although I need to go test exactly what is happening... as best I can tell, the felt thing that pushes down on the foot switch is like totally compressed and useless. When you push the pedal forward nothing happens, but the switch operates fine manually. I know we will replace that with a true bypass switch, but I need to know how you would recommend to fix this issue so the switch can be activated by the pedal.

~~ this can be pretty mashed and still work well, it's all in the adjustment of switch height. unless it is gone, it will work.

Q:
and the last question is about the sticker or plate that says Original Crybaby. it is dinged up and doesn't look good. What is the best way to remove it cleanly?

~~~we use a heat gun and point it directly at the badge for around 20 to 40 second, then slip one or two single edge razors under whichever edge has the most clearance for a blade. you may have to re-heat a couple times, but it will come off pretty cleanly, with most of the adhesive stuck to the badge.
