An incredible late 19th century Persian Sarouk Farahan rug with an elaborately woven multicolored flowering branch pattern overlying a rich salmon background. The central medallion is exquisite, with serpentine scrolled vines and multicolored flowers on white and indigo backgrounds. The border is equally impressive with multiple complementary colored bands with large and small-scale flowers stacked to create a wide border.
