Franke Eiger Tap Repair Guide: Cartridge Replacement
It is important to isolate water supply to the tap before starting the repair.
1. Use a 2mm hexagonal key to loosen the grub screw underneath the handle. After the grub screw is loosened pull the handle to remove.
2. Next, undo the threads on the collar (SP3131) by turning it anti-clockwise. This can be done by hand.
3. Use a spanner on the cartridge nut and turn it anti-clockwise to remove.
4. Use plumbing grease on the O-ring of the replacement Franke Eiger tap cartridge and slide it in the valve. Tighten the threads using the spanner.
5. Reassemble the handle and open water supply lines.
