Offering a software based timing system for your Antique Heuer. The software is written by Graham Baxter of Delph Electronics in the UK and I am the US Distributor. No Watches, Clocks or Laptops are included in this listing.

This system uses an ultra-sensitive microphone to analyze the sound from the escapement and from this determine the rate, beat error and many other parameters. Most watchmakers use more expensive Witschi, Greiner or similar timers costing several thousand dollars (I know. I bought one too, many years ago). These machines are also getting harder and more expensive to repair.

With eTimer you have “scope” mode to view the escapement. Even if you have a Witschi, if you don't have a Chronoscope which costs nearly $8000, you don't have scope mode.

There are Chinese alternatives right here on ebay, and while they do provide a level of core functionality, they do not excel at deep analysis. A recent quote from an eTimer user … "It has been invaluable, and is able to produce far more insightful and accurate results than any of the dedicated Timegraphers I have."

eTimer is able to detect extreme beat and rate errors over a far wider range than competitors machines. For difficult troubleshooting, final stages of in-movement hairspring vibrating or intense manipulation, this is invaluable. Witschi maxes out at a beat error of 9.9 msec. Chinese Timegraphers max out at 4 msec or 9.9 msec depending on manufacturer. One of my users had a watch whose results were incomprehensible on his timegraphers, but with eTimer he was able to determine that it had an incorrect hairspring, running thousands of seconds/day fast and with a large beat error.

Use eTimer with your headphones plugged into the speaker port and you have a stereo recreation of the true ticking sound allowing you to troubleshoot difficult problems such as a hairspring hitting the balance wheel. Witschi has this feature but many other timegraphers only provide a simulated tick noise and not the true sound

You can log the data and see how the performance varies over the full wind. Of course this works on any mechanical watch, including coaxial escapements, plus pendulum clocks. You can also record the positional performance you have no doubt heard of for the Chronometer rating.

Equipped with eTimer any horological enthusiast can gauge the health and performance of his or her collection. Even if you never open the case of a watch, this gives you a professionals view into the mechanism.

This will work on Windows PC's or laptops, Vista through WIN10.  XP is no longer supported.  You can download a demonstration version of the program from the Delph Website anytime, but with purchase you will receive the latest full version, an unlock code (based on your specific computer) and the microphone with storage case and USB adapter shown.

** Update ** Although there is not a version written specifically for any Mac products, I have a user who runs his eTimer using VMware Fusion version 8.5.10.  This lets you run a copy of Windows, and thereby any software made for it.  Apparently he has been doing so for many years before I became involved with this product, but we only recently connected.

The Company is Delph Electronics. Check out the escapement analyser and see if it is something you are interested in.

I will ship internationally at cost. I put $30 as a placeholder, but check with me for an accurate price before buying.
