This is a brand new GM engine.  It is NOT rebuilt and NOT used.  There is NO core charge.

This specific auction is a cheaper because it does not include the turbocharger system.  No Turbocharger, No exhaust manifold, No intake manifold, No throttle Body, No fuel Injectors, etc.  We have another auction up that includes all those items.  This is a cheaper version for people who want to save money and can reuse those other parts from their old engine.  This is a complete lower and upper long block engine.  Cylinder head attached to shortblock with all the timing components.  The cylinder head is complete with cams, rockers, lash adjusters, valves, spark plugs, valve cover, etc.  The timing is all complete and all setup.  You pretty much just bolt on the other stuff and drop the engine in.  Just to clarify as the picture does show a dipstick, tensioner, pulley and water pipe.  Those are not included.  That is on our more expensive versions with the turbo setup.

We have two of these auctions listed.  If you are trying to drop this into a FWD turbo car then this is the correct auction.  This will drop into the Cobalt, HHR, Regal, etc.  If you need it for the RWD Sky and Solstice we have another auction setup here for that version.

You do also have to retain your original fuel rail, injectors, intake manifold and throttle body.

This is a Gen 3 GM motor. If you need it for a 2011+ Regal we'll leave the airpump on it. If it's for an LNF Cobalt, we'll take it off before shipping.

The Gen 1 2.0L motor was not as good as this one and has a fairly common failure rate which is the engine that is in the 07-09 Sky and Solstices.  The Gen 2 is what came in the Cobalts and HHR's.  Many people buying this engine bought for these two specific vehicles.  We had a lot of feedback from people who bought this engine for these specific vehicles and nothing, but very happy buyers.  From what I have been told these cars with the stock factory engine has had many failures with less than 50,000 miles.  This Gen 3 engine bolts up exactly the same and looks identical externally, but has better internal parts to prevent premature failures compared to the old  gen 1 and 2 design.

**Just an update for people that are putting this into a 2007-09 Saturn Sky Redline or Pontiac Solstice GXP.  We have sold many of these before for these cars and nobody mentioned these issues before, but latest customer has informed us that you will need to retain your oil pan from your old engine as the oil pan on this engine is for a FWD car, but your original one will bolt right up.  Also in order to install the heater hose, the hose is first attached to the firewall (heater core), the engine is then lowered into place, and the hose is finally attached to the block. Once installed, the heater hose cannot be serviced without removing the block from the vehicle.** This is due to the cylinder head casting being about an inch wider than your original cylinder head.

You won't find a better deal.  Dealer cost on these is over $8000.  Limited quantity is available.  Once they are gone you will never get this opportunity again.  As our inventory dwindles the price will go up.  The less we have the higher the price becomes.  100% brand new from GM factory line.  We bought them on a great deal when these vehicles were discontinued from the GM lineup.  We also have the throttle bodies, turbocharger, fuel rails, injectors, etc available separate also.  You can inquire if you are looking for something specific.
