Multi function experimenter shield features:

  • 4 digit 7-segment LED display module driven by two serial 74HC595's ( Arduino pins: ‘8’=DATA , ‘7’= Clock , ‘4’= Latch)
  • 4 x surface mount LED's in a parallel configuration ( Arduino pins: ‘10’,’11’,’12’,’13’)
  • 10K adjustable precision potentiometer ( A0)
  • 3 x Independent push buttons ( Arduino pins: A1,A2,A3)
  • Piezo buzzer ( Arduino pin 3 )
  • DS18B20 or LM35 temperature sensor 3 PIN interface ( GND, A4, 5V)
  • Infrared receiver 3 PIN interface ( GND, ‘2’ , 5V)
  • Serial interface header for convenient connection to serial modules such as APC220, Bluetooth, wireless interface, voice module, a voice recognition module etc. Pins: GND, 5V, RX (‘0’), TX(‘1’)
  • Reset Button
  • 1 Sensor interface ( GND, 5V, A5)
  • 3 Servo interface PWM ( GND, 5V, ‘5’, ’6’, ‘9’ )
  • NOTE: Jumper J1 : Connects 10k pull up resistor on A4 pin ( remove is LM35 sensor used; for DS18B20 is needed).
  • Jumper J2 : Connects 10k pull up resistor to 5V on the 3 pushbuttons S1-S2-S3.

This Arduino Uno and Leonardo compatible multifunction experimenter shield has a large range of features which makes it ideal for beginners who just want to experiment and learn, or just as a general purpose shield for more advanced uses. Besides the feature rich range of components fitted to the shield, there are also a range of expansion headers for convenient interfacing of external modules and components. The shield includes R3 type headers for easy connection to your Arduino board.


Please note: Before applying power to your Arduino board check that other than the header pins, no part of the underside of this shield is in contact with the host board.
