A Solid State Drive will revive your old iPod Classic, giving it more storage space, longer battery life, faster sync times, no HD spin-up lag between tracks, as well as reducing the weight and eliminating the danger of data loss and drive damage if your iPod is dropped. All SSDs I use, including the 1Tb, are advanced memory, and do not have the power problems that many others have.
This is an upgrade service for 5th, 6th, or 7th Generation iPod Classics only. You send in your iPod and I will install a 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB solid state drive, as well as a free high-capacity battery and brand new back case.
These kits all fit in the slim iPods (5th Gen 30Gb, 6th Gen 80Gb, and 7th Gen 120Gb & 160Gb). IPods with the thick backs (5th Gen 60Gb & 80Gb, 6th Gen 160Gb) will work as well, although I can replace your thick back with a thin one. Let me know if your iPod needs any repairs; I can also replace the front case, click wheel, screen, and other parts.
Turnaround time will be a week or less usually. When your iPod is completed, I will ship it back via USPS Priority, insured, and message you the tracking number.
Please check the chart below to see which kits your iPod is compatible with; the 6th Generation iPods have a storage limit of 128GB with the original Apple software; track limits are approximate and depend on your iTunes library and the amount of
meta-data stored within (e.g. artist name, track name, genre, comments,
album art, etc, etc).
