FRAMED JAMES DEAN POSTAGE STAMP & FIRST DAY COVER

This stamp was issued on June 24,1996 in Burbank, California as the second annual issue in the "Legends of Hollywood" series, each showing an individual who made a major impact on the development of American films.

Famous for his intense, brooding portrayals of rebellious young men, James Dean became a symbol for a generation of restless youths defying the social conformity they perceived as oppressive. Despite a film career that encompassed only three feature roles, he remains an idol today, as much for his rebellious character as for his acting ability.

The third picture shows a close-up of the stamp and the fourth shows a closeup of the FDC. Mat is rust colored.  It is in black wood frame (approximate size is 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches). Frame comes with easel.

The Stamp is UNUSED U.S. POSTAGE STAMP.   FREE Shipping
