been EXTENSIVELY modified and customized to precisely measure the speed
of slot cars
over time
and distance. This speed checker can
be used with any standard wheelbase and length 1/24 & 1/32 slot
cars.

The 1/24 & 1/32 SCALE SLOTCAR SPEEDCHECKER measures the car's speed in ACTUAL Km/h. If you want to know your car's actual speed in Mp/h, you can convert from Km/h to Mp/h by simply dividing the readout on the display by 1.6 For example, 80 Km/h is the same as 50 Mph. This unit will measure cars with actual speeds up to 99 Km/h (over 60 Mph)! You can also ask GOOGLE and it will do the math for you!
Slotcars on the 1/24 & 1/32 SCALE SLOTCAR SPEEDCHECKER can be powered by a 12 to 20 DC volt power supply or a 12 volt battery (neither are included). If you own an adjustable power supply you can turn down the power and clearly see if your axles, wheels, and tires are running true. Even track power can be used to power this unit using your controller to adjust the car's speed (knowledge of which track terminals are + and – and suitable hook up wiring is required). This is also a great tool to see if vibration or heat is robbing you of speed over time.
The 1/24 & 1/32 SCALE SLOTCAR SPEEDCHECKER is an amazing diagnostic tool that's great for tune ups, and modifications—just what you need to squeeze that last bit of speed out of each of your 1/24 & 1/32 cars. It has two modes; one for measuring speed over a given length of time (automatic), and another that tells you how long a car would take to cover the distance flat out (you must input the length of your track). It is so sensitive it can measure the difference before and after adjusting motor brushes, truing or changing tires, or even when you oil a car! You can also use the unit to see how different gear ratios or tires affect overall speed. Great to use for breaking in slotcars and motors too; just let your car run for any amount of time you wish (full power breaking-in is not recommended).

- LCD display - indicates operations & results of measurement
- On/Off Switch
- Start Button - starts measuring the speed/lap time
- Mode Button - selects "speed check" or "time attack" mode
- Distance Select Button - selects virtual running distance on
"time attack" mode from 10 to 300 meters (33 to 985 feet)
- Buzzer that sounds indicating start and end of measurement period.
- Automatic shut-off if left untouched for about three minutes.
