This compact RDS encoder together with it's dedicated software provides a professional yet easy plug and play solution to upgrade an FM radio service with RDS functionality. Send messages live on air from your computer or save to the encoders memory for standalone use. The multiple message bank feature provides greater message capability than other encoders, in addition messages can be automated with the software's message scheduler.

Dynamic Scheduler - automation of PS labels.
Live PS update & Restore from memory allow users to send live RDS messages on air without erasing the data stored in the encoders memory. A click of the Restore memory button then switches the RDS message back to the stored data without the need to restart the encoder.
An optional stereo mini jack socket is provided which can be used to directly connect to any stereo or mono audio source eg: computer, studio mixer etc. The left & right audio channels will be converted to mono which is then mixed together with the filtered RDS signal.
Screw terminals allow any 10 to 20v DC power supply to be used as a power source. A flashing blue LED indicates that the encoder is operating correctly & a red LED confirms data reception during programming.
The circuit board measures just 51 X 55mm & can be programmed quickly & easily using a standard serial extension cable together with the windows based software included, no drivers are required. Alternatively a USB to RS232 adapter could be used if your computer does not have a COM port. The USB adapter must be installed properly and working correctly so that the computer can communicate with the RDS encoder.
