TANTALUM FOIL ELEMENT SAMPLE
	You are bidding on one 2.4x5 inch piece of tantalum foil. Purity should be at least 3N (99.9%) or probably better, however I have no way to verify it, so it is sold as 99.9% pure. Foil was manufactured by Plansee, and was intended to be used in the manufacturing of tantalum foil capacitors back in the day before sintered powder tantalum capacitors became widespread. It has a beautiful silvery lustre, and  feels pretty strong for its thickness, definitely more rigid then household aluminium foil, however it can be easily cut with sharp scissors. Much like titanium, tantalum can easily be anodised to give beautiful colours, which will not fade owing to the metal's high corrosion resistance. Actual piece of foil will be almost identical to the one pictured, there are some minor dents that you can see in the pictures, their pattern repeats throughout the reel, but their position varies on the cut piece. Please be careful when handling item, since the foil is rather thin and rigid, it can get wrinkled if it's not handled with care. Item will be shipped out wrinkle free.
