This is a superb New Old Stock Russian 3pcs of 6N2P double triode valves (includes the one under the cover!) which are superior versions of the far eastern modern valves used in the T10 and T11 Little Bear RIAA preamplifier, along with a military spec 6Z4 rectifier valve which should prove to be far more reliable than the Chinese valve supplied with these units. These Russian valves were built to a very high quality for the Russian military in the 1970's to 1990's and are an ideal upgrade for the Chinese valves supplied in the standard amplifier. Allow 24 hours for burn in to develop best results. Note that all our Soviet valves are responsibly sourced outside of Russia and that the completed Little Bear preamp is shown here to show the valves in place and is not included!

This will fit all versions of the Little Bear that take either 3 x 6N2 or 3x 12AX7 (if fitted with the switch to change each socket to 6N2) plus the 6Z4 rectifier.

When we fitted these valves to our test unit, we noticed an instant improvement in stability and lower noise, a very worthwhile upgrade! Also note that we fitted a replacement screened socket with screening can in the V1 position, which vastly reduced hum pickup.

Supplied as a complete set of four replacement valves at a great price.

See our store for other listings for 6N1P, 6N5PJ, 6SN7, 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, 12AX7B and for "old school" construction genuine 7025 preamplifier valves as well as matched pairs of 6V6, 6L6 and EL34.

<Handy hint> Changing your valve

Once you have the back or cover removed from the amplifier/radio/record player you are changing a valve in it's easy to change. First, the safety warnings;

Unplug the unit from the mains before removing any covers.

Don't try to change the valve when the unit has been recently switched on... valves get hot enough to burn you!

Try not to touch anything inside the unit except the valve you are changing as some parts can hold high voltages even when it has been switched off for some time.

Now for the easy bit.... hold the valve you are changing between two fingers and your thumb and rocking it slightly to free its pins, pull it firmly straight up and it will unplug. You will see that the pins form a circle with an inner plastic/Bakelite peg with a bump on one side.

Take a look at the socket to see where the indentation on the centre hole is and taking the new valve, line the centre peg up correctly with the gap and again rocking it around slightly (only a few degrees) push the new valve in until it is firmly seated. Replace back cover, switch on.... all done!

Preamp valves like this double triode don't need any further setting up or baising, so thats all there is to it. Changing these valves can make your sound instantly brighter and punchy, so why not spend a few pounds and bring the life back into your amplifier!

If you are ordering from more than one of our listings, note that we can offer you reduced combined shipping ONLY if you use "Buy it now" on all items then request a total from seller BEFORE making payment. We will then send you a combined shipping eBay invoice to pay. This is NOT possible if you have already paid for any of the items you are ordering.

Customers in Italy please note that due to the high number of orders that vanish and never arrive whilst in the hands of the Italian postal system, we will only send orders under £22 in value to Italy via standard untracked airmail. If your items total more than £22, please arrange to pay for tracked and signed shipping so that your order may be shipped safely and securely. If this option is not offered in the listing, please use the following listing to pay the extra cost of this.

Also note that orders sent to Italy may take MUCH longer than eBays estimate to be delivered and, whilst some orders do arrive within a week or two, many orders sent to Italy are not delivered for three or perhaps even four weeks! This is entirely outside our control, as we ship within two working days and once your order is in the hands of Poste Italiane, there is nothing we can do to get it to you any faster.

Please DO NOT send messages with the title "Item not received" as these open complaint cases against us and damage our seller rating! Instead please use the general "Other" heading to ask about your delivery if several weeks have passed.

Lastly, all please note that when eBay asks you "Did the item arrive on or before" their estimated delivery date, it also damages our seller rating if you answer "No", so bear in mind that we always ship within two working days, so if you answer "No" because your local postal service (especially in Italy!) has taken weeks to deliver, you are punishing us, not them!

Thank you all for your kind consideration of the above and remember that we will always do our very best to sort out any problems or questions you may have related to your order if you contact us using the "Contact Seller" and (if the choice is given) "Other" ask a question of seller options.
