Dhaka, Bangladesh: published by Neeta Bhushan (The High Commission of India), 2001.

Hardcover.

VERY UNCOMMON.

11 x 9 in. Unpaginated.

Generously illustrated with colour reproductions of artworks, and black & white photographs of artists.

Condition: very good. This is a nice clean, bright copy ~ some light rippling of the pages and inside the covers, seemingly a result of the printing process ~ two tiny (4 mm) closed tears on the bottom of the back of the jacket ~ otherwise, a very good copy with no markings or inscriptions.

The book Contemporary Art of Bangladesh - the idea for which emerged from a series of exhibitions organised by the Dhaka Cultural Centre - is a modest effort to capture the richness and diversity of art and culture in Bangladesh. The publication documents the works of 64 contemporary artists, arranged entirely in order of seniority, representing different styles and trends.
