Church of Scotland Reward Stamps were issued, by Gilbert E. Oliver, of Edinburgh, on behalf of the Church of Scotland, between the years 1890 and 1913. Some sheets were produced having five different stamps, repeated in five rows on the sheet. Other sheets contained twenty-five or thirty different stamps.The sheets were issued on a variety of coloured papers and different coloured inks adding a wide range of stamps to collect. In practise, stamps were given to the children for good attendance at Sunday School, but they could
also have been given out as rewards for good work.
