Antique late 1800s Hauck & Comstock Manufacturers Mechanicsburg, PA original paint and stenciled wood advertising sign/box/cover.  Wood box with tin sheet metal top and square nail construction.  The metal top shows surface rust and corrosion, red paint with white pin stripe border and marked No 2 on each end.  Patent dates read June 29, 1875 & February 13, 1877 on one side of the box.  The name Hauck & Comstock  was used in the years 1880-1893.  They were farm equipment makers of cider mills, feed cutters, portable sawmills, hay feed cutters, land rollers, wine presses etc.  This was a probably a box cover for some sort of implement.  Measures 28.5"l x 12.5"w x 14"h.  Please see pictures for complete condition.  Please feel free to ask questions or request additional pictures.  Shipping includes sturdy packaging and full insurance.  Remember antique and vintage finds have age wear etc., they are not perfect.  THANK YOU for viewing!  Payment by U.S. PAYPAL account holders only, within 3 days.  You must have a registered EBAY account and reside in the United States to purchase.
