Antique Fine Carving Fork with Carbon Steel Tine, Bolster, Stand, & Wood Handle Made by Landers Frary & Clark ( LF&C )

Landers Frary & Clark ( LF&C ) was a housewares company founded in 1865 in New Britain, Connecticut.  They manufactured a wide variety of products over the years, including stainless steel bull-nose rings and electric ranges, kitchen scales and vacuum bottles, window hardware and ice skates, mouse traps and percolators, can openers, corkscrews, cutlery, straight razors, aluminum cookware, and thousands of other products.  In 1965, LF&C was sold to General Electric.  It has many brands including Universal, Samuel Lee, Lee’s, Aetna, … 

This fork has the tine forged from the fine carbon steel.  The two-piece wood handle is triple pinned over the full  tang and single bolstered to good fitting for durability, strength, & balance.

Maintenance Suggestion:  Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.  After washing it, wipe the tine and handle completely dry.
