Antique Pin Cushion Wood Sewing Box w/ Opening Mechanism; Up for sale is the sewing box with inlaid pin cushion top, dated 19th century. The wood sewing box in rectangular shape features a hidden push button mechanism located at the end of the cushion top for the drawer to open. When the button is pushed, the drawer is ready to open by the release of the inside latch. In addition to be a sewing box, it can also be used as a jewelry box.
Measures: Dimensions, 7 ½” long x 4 ¾” wide x 4” high (including the cushion top); Weight, 1 lb & 14.9 oz (876 grams). Condition: Sanitized and clean, with small crack to the veneer on the back panel and wear to the pin cushion fabric, consistent with age and use.
