Q1. - I bought it to replace one hooked to the truck radio. People now have a harder time hearing me..... 

       Ans: This is a high sensitivity uni-direction mic, not Omni-Directional. When you set up on the car dashboard the mic must direct to your mouth, it can enhance talking volume and reduce sideway noises. 

Q2. - very thin low-quality wire....

       Ans: This is an in-car use approved cable that has 85% Ground shading coverage that can avoid electric noise.

Q3. - no metal alloy case just plastic (tested with a multimeter for case conductivity)....

      Ans: This is an expensive Magnesium alloy with  Anodizing that had a protective shield so it was no conductivity, please check wiki information with "Magnesium-alloy" and "Anodizing".

Q4. - this microphone does not worth its money.....

       Ans: Only correct installation can get correct performance. (Japanese high sensitivity unidirectional condenser microphone unit inside)

       Please follow the installation guide to set up the mic on the dashboard (position No.1) and let the mic receiving hole face to your mouth (around 2 feet) that can get louder talking volume and less environmental noise.
