"most excellent beginner accordion book known to mankind." Amazon review.

This book is based around years of teaching accordion and is a collection of 50 inspiring tunes from many countries (mainly Europe and N. America).  Music is carefully graded and at each stage there is a wealth of music from which to choose, and give plenty of practice at that level.  Unlike some publications all notation has fingering for both hands indicated.  Although a beginners book, there is help with a variety of left hand techniques which will prove invaluable when playing other music.

Music theory is addressed as it arises so it's more or less straight into playing simple, yet interesting, tunes and no boring exercises, because what motivates most people is playing beautiful music.  You don't need to read music notation either because every tune has a slowed-down version on vimeo where you can watch how each tune is played.  There is also a performance standard CD so you can hear how a professional extracts great musicality from even the easiest of tunes.  One of the more advanced tunes can be heard played by the author on youtube
