Pursh's 'Flora'
These are reprints of rare early American studies on Botany and local Floras.
The original works date from the late 18th to early 19th centuries.
Each reprint (published in the 1960s and '70s) includes an informative introduction
by Joseph Ewan.
Complete sets are nearly impossible to find and almost always unmatched especially since the original US publisher closed before the series was completed.
The last volume published in this series (Pursh's 'Flora' - missing from this set) was published by Hafner's German publishing partner J. Cramer Verlag.
This set consists of some ex Library copies with one of the two-volume titles missing and some from private collections.
