Michael Miller was born in the spring of 1999. The brainchild of Michael Steiner and Kathy Miller. Two parents brought together not by love and marriage but solely by professional respect for each others' abilities. By leveraging their lives for an SBA loan, borrowing money from family and living on credit cards, Michael and Kathy were able to give birth to a start-up fabric company called "Michael Miller Fabrics". The first year in business proved to be just as hard as raising a newborn. There were many long days and many sleepless nights. As a result of limited funds, Michael and Kathy were unable to afford the high rent of a Manahattan office space. Michaels' New York City apartment provided them with the initial space they needed. Kathy spent long days in the kitchen which served as a design studio while Michael spearheaded production and sales in the dining room. As time went on the company grew to a team of around 20 people and moved to a "home" of its own at 118 West 22nd street in New York City. This dedicated and enthusiastic group are committed to expanding with a product that stands out in the industry, while at the same time closely tending to the needs of the customers we hope to inspire. |
This fabric can be used for clothing and home decor items, as well as for quilting, dressmaking, bags and other crafts.
We recommend you always pre-wash or treat your fabrics as you hope to launder your item once made. All fabrics may be liable to a certain amount of shrinkage. You can do this by washing a 10cm x 10cm square of your fabric, you can then measure the shrinkage after laundering.
Shipping
Generally if you pay for your item before 2pm on a working day then we will send it out the same day, if it is after 2pm, then we may manage to dispatch the same day, otherwise it will definitely go out the next working day.
We normally send by Royal Mail. We post Monday to Friday, without fail. If you do order a large amount of fabric then we may send it by a courier, but this will be a next day courier. The same dispatch times still apply with large orders.
Terms of Sale
Returns - As long as you return the product to us and it is still in a saleable condition then we are happy to process a return, within 14 days of you receiving it. We will process your refund within 2 working days of receive the fabric, please leave a note of Email address used for paypal payment within the parcel. If you can let us know that you are returning it's always helpful.
