The insert made of solid cast iron ensures first-class heat distribution and enables baking and cooking in the Dutch Ovens ft6, ft9 and ft12 without burning. Because of the so-called seasoned finish it can be used immediately.

In the fire and as a coaster
When grilling directly on the embers, the cast grate sizzles the perfect grill pattern into the meat or vegetables. Thanks to the feet on the underside, it stands securely in the fire and can be used as a stand for percolators, tea kettles and the like. And it can also serve as a practical coaster for hot cookware on the table.
