Antique VICTORIAN Large Tureen as LAMP Children DOGS Brown White Transfer
Offering an amazing Lamp -- Antique 19th Century brown and white transfer ware Tureen with handles and lid converted into lamp.
Rare pattern -- Victorian Lady reading book, young boy playing game with dogs against an idyllic backdrop of flowering plants and trees. The charming graphics are bold and fascinating. Scene repeated on both sides and lid.
Very impressive, large size measuring approximately 25" tall (base to top of finial) and 11 1/2" in diameter (widest).
Lamp in good antique condition. Old hairline on tureen rim-- not distracting. Small chip under the lid -- barely discernible. Metal base has verdigris--oxidation/patination (could probably be cleaned). Please note lamp works, but as with all vintage lighting, we recommend checking and updating wiring as necessary.
