Here are a very vintage set of match-worn cricket pads.  Manufactured by Jack Hobbs Ltd, 59 Fleet St., E.C. 4 as shown on a very small tag on one pad.  They appear to be much older than the versions with the large Hobbs logo.  The name Astington is handwritten in ink on the pads.  A Google search yields an 1877 reference to F. Astington of Croydon, but who knows?  Nice display pieces.
