To build the set pictured in this auction you need a Lego 75218 set which is not included.

This auction is for a CD that has building instructions in PDF format.

Only pieces from the Lego 75218 set are needed to build this model.  I loaded as many pictures as I could so you can attempt to build it without buying the instructions.  But if you want to buy the instructions you will be helping others because 100% of auction proceeds go to charity.

A few of the modifications/enhancements:

1) Extended laser turrets

2) Thinner wings

3) Engines mounted closer to the main fuselage and elongated

4) Fuselage streamlined (due in part to reconfiguration of the engines)

5) Cover for the wing mechanism to fill the gap on top of the original 75218 (it is reversible and goes on the model in both open and closed wing modes)

6) More detailed cockpit (no more fire extinguisher)

7) Removable stand tall enough to support display of the model with wings open

8) Rear landing gear (need to remove them from the bottom engines and move a few bricks)

9) Ladder built out of the brick separator

10) Spring loaded shooters were used to extend the lasers so the spring mechanism is no longer accessible and the stud shooters were removed from the model

I did my best to design a good looking model using only the parts in the 75218 set.  That way if you already own the set you just need to buy the instructions.  Lots of people don't like stickers so I didn't make any for this set but if you purchase this set and would like me to include a file you can use to print out stickers on Avery labels I can do that.

NOTE: there is one tricky assembly point where you must disassemble the white and gray hinges so you can reassemble the hinges as half white and half gray.  Be very careful when doing this because the pieces do not come apart easily.  Reassembling them as half white and half gray allows them to appear like proton torpedo launchers symmetrically on both sides of the model.  Also all white 3x2 tiles are used in this model so if you did put stickers on your original 75218 set you may need to remove them.  I also reconfigured the wings so the wing stickers may need to be removed as well.  Sliding a piece of wax paper or the paper backing of any Lego sticker sheet under the stickers on your Lego model often makes it easier to lift the stickers off of the model.  I'll post a YouTube video if any buyers request it.
