Beware of Imitations - These locks are from the same source that supply Thule for their products. Don't be tempted by Paddy Hopkirk K Lock sellers - They only have 6 different lock numbers available (It makes them very easy to steal as thevies only need to carry 6 keys!) My locks range from 001 to 200, giving much greater security.
All four barrels are the same number and the key will open all - a spare key is also provided. I will supply a random serial number set, but if you require a specific serial number, please e-mail to check if I have it in stock. Also please remember to include the desired serial number in the "Message to seller" box. If buying via a Smartphone or other mobile application, this message box may not appear, so please e-mail your required number to me as soon as you have completed your purchase. Thanks :-)

The "Master Key" Myth
I'm often asked if I can supply a "Master Key" - So first of all, there is no such thing as a Master Key for the Thule lock system. If there was, there would be a lot of stolen roof racks! What many refer to as a master is in fact an "Installation Key", to assist with installation and removal of locks. The only reason Thule provide this “Installation Key” is for removal of locks (only when in the unlocked position) from items that don't have access to the rear of the barrel. In my experience, that only applies to certain roof boxes, and depending on the age of the barrel, that can be very troublesome, despite following Thule’s instructions. So my advice to customers is to leave roof box locks as they are, and match up other items to the roof box. Most other types of applications, roof bars, bike racks (not Thule 591/598 ProRide) etc give you access to the rear of the barrel. If you insert the normal key into the lock, turn to the unlock position and then depress the large sixth tumbler from the back, the barrel will then slip out. To install, again have the normal key inserted in the barrel and then push in gently, rotating clockwise until you feel the barrel "give" and slide in. Hold the barrel in place and withdraw the key. Job done! I supply a copy of the Thule graphics that shows you how to do this, without using the “Installation Key”. So the “Installation Key” is actually unnecessary & useless. Also Thule don't allow sale of this blank key as an item. But I've proved that they are not necessary. Thule restrict the sale of locks to other suppliers (like me) by instructing the manufacturer to modify the barrels so the Installation Key doesn't operate the sixth slider. I've sold over 5000 of these lock sets and not had one unhappy customer yet! But that's because I pride myself on customer service. I've had a couple of customers that decided my lock sets were not what they wanted, but I gave them a full refund. That offer still stands, of course.
