Gold Star were small stamps given by many Quebec and Ontario grocery chains to customers in a loyalty program. They had to be accumulate and pasted into booklets before to be exchanged for premium such as toys, housewares and appliances. Most of them are found stuck to booklet pages. Mint items are scarcer.
