(AFRICAN AMERICAN ART SUBJECTS, CARTOON ART, ORIGINAL ART)

On offer here is an ORIGINAL PAINTING SEEMINGLY DEPICTING AN AFRICAN AMERICAN GIRL IN A DREAM STATE.  The artist is by formerly Brooklyn based (but now Spokane, WA ?) artist Kimberly Sheridan. This art piece was created about 2012.

The pen and ink drawing composition measures 30 inches x 40 inches in a frame measuring 35.25 inches x 45.25 inches and is in excellent condition.

The meaning  / intent or message of this work is subject to viewer interpretation (as most art is), but seems to have several messages among them being friendship, racial idenity, consumerism, parental abandonment, and substance abuse. Its an attractive and thought provoking image and well executed by a talented artist who has a background in tattoo art. (Please see our other item by Kim Sheridan which is a smaller maquette painting for a poster).
