James T, Lang is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art, The Barnes Foundation of Merion, Pa ,, and RECEIVED HIS' GRADUATE DEGREE IN FINE ARTS FROM THE TYLER Art School of Temple University in Philadelphia, He CONDUCTED RESEARCH ON THE ARTS OF INDIA, CHINA AND JAPAN in the Orient for eight years, while working in the studios of Messrs. Tajima, Yoshida, Hagiwara and Re v. uajo Sakamoto (Zen monk) in Japanese printmaking and ink (SUMl) PAINTING. Lang has taught as Ass't . Prof, of Humanities and Art AT THE AoYAMA GAKUIN UNIVERSITY IN TOKYO, OLIVET COLLEGE in Michigan, and as Visiting Lecturer in Asian Art and Printmaking at Temple University in Philadelphia.
