RARE Antique CHERUB GOLD PLATED STERLING SILVER Brush MAUSER Rococo French
Offering an amazing GOLD PLATED Sterling Silver Hand Brush. Fully hallmarked Sterling 925/1000 with MAUSER unicorn hallmark. Monogrammed with H. This came from the estate of a HAMM'S brewery family member. One of the Hamm twin daughters. Both women loved everything GOLD and everything French. They even had solid gold foot stools. In all likelihood, she had this gold plated.
Ornate Rococo style. Reousse detail-- deep, sculptural relief. Embellished with Cherub swinging beneath Rose Garland/Swag. Sweeping scrollwork and florals.
In excellent antique condition. Brush-- ca 1900. The Gold is lustrous, rich and majestic! Brush part-- very clean.
Approx measurements. 8 7/8" l. 3 1/4 w.
