A beautiful, Original 100% Wool Hand Made Reversible Afghan Tribal Veg Dye Chobi Kilim, These are beautiful richly textured kilims all hand-crafted from Afghan wool and are vegetable dyed Kilims. Afghan kilims are renowned worldwide for being hard wearing flat woven rugs, with brilliant colours unique to the region. These kilims are made using beautiful soft vegetable dyes made from apricots, mulberries, onion skins, olives, tumeric, madder root, indigo etc and are made using locally produced hand spun wool. Afghan Chobi kilims come from the Afghanistan Uzbekistan border region..exquisite pieces creating an intense but soothing atmosphere in your home décor.
Please note: All sizes are approx. Crookedness in Kilims is very common and expected, these are Hand woven and it is very hard to make a rug perfectly straight without the use of a machine and because these kilims are made using vegetable dyes, the intensity of colour varies between dye lots. It is perfectly normal, and part of the beauty of the rug, to have color variations in a rug, especially nomadic and tribal ones.
