Vintage 3XL Slicing Cimeter Knife with Carbon Steel Curved Blade & Wood Handle Made by Foster Brothers Cutlery Company

Foster Brothers Cutlery Company was founded by Frank and Allie Foster in 1878 in Fulton, New York.  In 1904, John Chatillon & Sons Company acquired Foster Brothers Cutlery and changed the name to Foster Bros & Chatillon Company.  Its brands include Foster & Fulton.  In 1950s, the brand name “ Foster Bros” was sold to Columbia Cutlery Company.

This knife has the blade hand forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.  The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to sure fitting for durability, strength, & balance.

Maintenance Suggestion:  Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.  After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.  Use of electric knife sharpener or dishwasher not recommended.
